Social Work Internships
At Turning Point, we seek to create a professional development model for a new generation of social workers and ensure that they have the skills that are required to serve the Muslim community effectively. To achieve this goal we offer fieldwork placement opportunities to social work students so that both Muslim and non-Muslim social workers can get hands-on experience and learn to work with the Muslim community in a culturally appropriate and sensitive manner. We provide a platform for undergraduate and graduate students to engage in direct service to this underserved and diverse community and be supervised by a MSW, something that is often lacking in the Muslim community.
